A conversation with Christ pt. 2

Oh Jesus you said "put your fingers through the holes in My hands and feet if it helps you believe" and I can only reply 'run your hands across the scars on my wrist if it helps you see, I'm hopeless and lost in brokenness'
If the doctor can't help me how could you?!
I've taken far too many prescriptions
And the only thing that helps is my addiction
My razor
My savior under my shoelaces
I can count the days since I've been happy on my wrists and hips
How's that for a prognosis?!
So tell me 'Great Doctor' how can you possibly help me?!

"Oh my daughter
If you had any clue just what I could do to help yo...."

Oh just like the boys that used me?!
Coming home crying to a dad that abused me?!
why would I ever want a father
and what makes you think you have the right to call me daughter?!

"My sweet girl you don't understand
That man had no right to be called your father
And I would never do anything to hurt my daughter
Take it from your saviour!
Take it from your potter!
I meant nothing but love when i fashioned your frame out of clay and water"

Oh I know of your 'water'
It poured from my eyes
With every tear I cried

"Baby girl Do you know what you're worth?
You are worth my blood!"

I saw Your blood pouring from my wrist

"I bled so you don't have to!"

You don't know what it feels like for the blade to kiss your wrist!

"My hands and feet were kissed by nails!"

But you don't understand the weight this crown of shame carries!

"I wore a crown of thorns under the weight of the cross I carried
I did it for you!
I did it so you can drawn near to me
Please Draw near to me!"

I tried stepping out of the boat but I'm sinking!

"Just have faith!"

I'm drowning!

"I drowned in my own blood so you don't have to"

I'm sorry Jesus but I'm trapped behind the circumstance of the walls of my cell
and I don't know if anything can help

"If only you would ask..."

Okay Jesus, ill ask and you'll see
Nothing you can do will rescue me.....
Jesus, I need your help

"My sweet child you are no longer lost
I've got you wrapped in my arms and I've paid all the cost
You are my daughter, my princess
Feeling the love that comes from The King being your father
No more need for razors
Or any other worldly savior
I have you in my arms
And I'm never letting go"

What a shame that we see Jesus through the filter of other people whom we have met, bringing us disappointment or pain. He is so far beyond all of that. It takes a revelation, and graciously God will engineer and provide it to the broken and hungry. Your "conversation" is gut-wrenchingly real...Doug
