I remember when I used to write poems about my sin
Fantasizing about a savior who could rescue me from them
And I knew a lot about Jesus Christ
But never thought my sin was worth the price
Until I felt the weight of His cross
And felt the sorrow of His loss
Until I tasted the pain His love endured
And bore the shame of His crown of thorns
I remember when He saved me from my sins
And took my burdens when I followed Him
Oh what did I do to deserve a love so sweet
That brings me to my knees
Using my tears to wash my Saviors feet!
