As a Roaring Lion


He roars
And the craven mood
Takes over.
And we hardly stop to think
There is no bite.
Just a formless
Dark foreboding
Premonition
That the worst is coming
In some crippling night.

He scoffs
Hinting that you’ll
Come to nothing
Just a bag of wishes
Scattered to the breeze.
Good intentions
But a record
Marred with stumbling.
“Such a loser, wasting
Time down on your knees.”

He lies
But the stab still
Does its damage.
And you grovel thinking life
Will come to naught.
But the Record says
He’s roundly,
Soundly beaten
By the Prince whose bleeding
All your best has bought.

Excellent advice...when the Spirit speaks through us more often than not but almost always, the very same message applies to us...listen to your own observations.

Stop look and listen, pay attention to the message you received and turn and see where two sets of footprints became one and know that he is carrying you brother.

"i find no fault in you" other than being human.
Lawyers live for litigation...do you really count that past "as loss" or is there some unsettled business/issues and wounds that you are still nursing?
An argument lost, something left to prove/win, are you still shadow boxing ghosts?

What has been lacking in the evidence pool presented thus far, is a real lack of compassion, empathy, tenderness, heart. Which others have noticed as well.

I left the legal practice in February 1987 broke and disgusted. At rock-bottom I knew that the development was probably going to add years to my life. The stress and the role playing and the half-truths and the prying for leverage had left me totally disillusioned. Contrariwise a steel factory produces ready products of identifiable worth. The people there do not engage in nearly as much guile. They know me as me, and not as the presumed stereotype of my former undeserved posture in robes.

There are facts here you do not know.

I cannot help what other people have noticed about me. Obviously I am not into currying favour.

Neither are you into using a soft prod as the words come forth.

it's called "obedience"...anything less than what He asks is disobedience, something once completely foreign to me but now...because of His Love, a way of life.
