My Mean Family

My Mean Family

I guess I had a mean mommy
For she made me clean my room,
Made me hang up my clothes
And go to church and Sunday School.

I guess I had an unfair dad
Who made me help outside
And didn't buy me a car at 16
So I could enjoy the ride.

I guess I had mean older brothers
Who teased me unmercifully
But would go out of their way
To protect me and check up on me.

I guess my grandparents were meanies too
For they are the ones who taught my parents
To obey the Golden rule
Taught them about God and took them to Sunday School...

I guess I had a really mean family
For sometimes we got scolded and corrected
For things we did or didn't do
But I'm so thankful that I had such meanies
Whose "meanness" has guided me my whole life through!

That actually put a tear in my eye. I guess it's because the world needs a lot more mean families than it currently has.

When The Lord woke me up from out of a trance, it seemed like the meanest worst thing that ever happened to me! But it was the only way left to reach me.
