Lust (retrospect)

He walks around with his mind open and his eyes closed
Imagining what that girl would look like if she took off her clothes!
And when he gets behind that computer screen his heart screams
"Why oh why can't she be mine?!
She's in my mind all of the time"
And he can't take it!
He just wants to sleep with her but all He can do is fake it
And all the good Christian girls he sexts with are just a tease
He could care less how they feel he just wants to be pleased!

He walks around so self righteous and holy
But pauses before he walks into church to clear his internet's history!
All his pastors ask him how he's doing but he can't hear their voices over him imagining the girls he's doing

He's not alright but he's convinced himself he is!
He knows it's wrong but trusts that grace will cover all his sin!

IT BREAKS MY HEART THAT MEN LIKE THIS EXIST!
doesn't he care about the women he hurt?!
He owns fifteen Bibles has he read a single word?!
How can he live with himself?!
He needs to come to the cross!
He needs to come to the cross!
He came to the cross!
I came to the cross!
I am Him.

I apologize if this is a bit too raw, but as with many of my poems it's for an audience that won't listen to me unless I show passion and transparency.

Thanks for that. In this society, we don't even have to go looking for that stuff, it is thrown in our faces everywhere we look. It's no wonder men struggle with pornography and its detrimental effects.
