RAISING KIDS TODAY

You have your kids,
You raise them up
You put them on the street
You give them all the things you can
With just enough to eat.

If you give them what is cheap
Your life can be so full
You give a smile, a little hug
And life that’s never dull.
If you give them of yourself they’ll come back to you

They’ll give you back in full regard, a little extra too.
You try to teach them how to live
And man, that’s tough to do
They make you glad
And they make you mad

Because they are just like you.
What happens to a world like this
With kids we’ve taught so well?
We can only make a guess
And only time will tell

But I’ll tell you one thing
With all the world to see
I’ll be most proud,
If mine are just like me.

You said it sister! It's tough raisin' youngin's. Sometimes, it can feel like it can't get worse when I kids battle against us. But, after it's all said and done, oftentimes they make it in the world anyway, and we're pleasantly surprised. Now if that isn't God at work, I don't know what is.

I have noticed the older they get the better they seemed to get. You do what you can, pray to God and put it in His hands and it usually turns out ok.
