Here I Am

I am the portrait of a broken frame
(On the nightstand of my savior)
I am the passion of a burning flame
(On fire for my king)

You saw me broken on the ground and said "I'll make a soldier out of you yet"
You picked me up and rescued me from the hell I made my bed

You sat me upon mountaintops and said that I am your own
You turned my heart towards heaven and made your house my home.
But I'm not there yet I have to fight for every step!
I'm on the precipice of passion and slipping everyday
 with every inch I grow someone comes and takes a foot away

I'm walking on a narrow road and I've got a dusty map
One I haven't read enough to keep me out of traps
If I wanna make it
If I want to see my home
I have to rely on the word of God to illuminate this road!

Not all those who wander are lost
But I'm so prone every step is a loss
Prone to wander Lord I feel it
(Please guide me!)

The gates of hell are at my door and I'm so small I'll fall through the cracks in the floor 
I heard you knocking but it wasn't you
It wasn't you! 
WHAT WAS I SUPPOSED TO DO?!
Give me courage to stand up!
Give me the strength to crush them under my feet!
God I need your angels now
send an army!
Send a fleet!
I'm crying to you Lord!
I'm in trouble help me please!

I was once a lion
Now nothing more
I've lost my mane
I've lost my roar!
And when I sacrificed my pride
I sacrificed my friends and family too

You watched me die!
In fact you killed me!
I drowned in your blood!
I drowned in a tub!
I emerged a new man
New in the Spirit
Same in the skin
I'm much more than dead weight
I've got kindling in my bones
Fire in my spirit 
And a hearth for a home

People think I'm crazy cuz I never patch up the cracks in my heart!
But how could I speak it if there wasn't a way out!
I am the portrait of redemption 
In the mirror of my Savior
I am a man who wants to move mountains into the sea 
And see that it be done
I am found in Christ and Christ lives in me
I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness:
Give me liberty and give me Christ!
Because it is for freedom we are free and I can tell my testimony's test

My journey's just began
And I will not stop until they know the hope that I have
