From Barbed Wire to Rainbows Empty
PostSubject: From Barbed Wire to Rainbows   From Barbed Wire to Rainbows EmptySat Jul 13, 2013 7:17 pm

Trapped in a life, unwilling to yield.
Held captive by barbed wire on a barren field.
So far I had fallen, so tight was the grip.
The path that was narrow, how quickly I slipped.

Pain was my friend and death was my home.
The valley left me all on my own.
No hope was found in the place that I lay.
I turned to the heavens and whispered His name.

The rain clouds departed, the sun began a new day.
The barbed wire rusted and soon fell away.
I could hear a voice call out my name.
I knew in that moment I wasn't the same.

I could see clearly the path up ahead,
I was no longer one of the dead.
No longer blind, I ventured on.
looking for my long lost home.

This is the power of Jesus's call,
He ask for us to give Him all.
When I looked up a promise did show,
It came in all colors, it's shape was a bow.

Be thankful that such revelation knowledge has come. New eyes, new ears, new heart to understand. All gifts that pull us from the tomb...out of the barbed wire.

And the rainbow...God's immutable promise.

"The barbed wire rusted and soon fell away."
Very grabbing imagry!

When salt-water fishing at times a fish will be hooked in such a way that removing the barbed tip might kill it. In order to release it, it is recommended that you cut the line as close to the hook as possible. The hook will eventually be broken down and dissolved by the high content of salt in the seawater. This piece vividly reminds me of God's Mercy and this was the first thing i saw, though at first i couldn't quite name it. It is rare that i receive such vivid imagery from a written piece and immediately recognize the undeniable source...so quickly, you have been gifted without a doubt.
