| Normaly I write in German, but I translated this (as good as a can), because the creative writing course was in English (there were also people from Netherlands, Singapore, UK).
Once again I stand here, in the midst of green. No daily bustle intrudes into this place.
I love this calmness, where I hear the bird‘s joyful singing and the babblng of the brook that is some steps away. This stream is a silent testimony, that live always will go on no matter what.
Sometimes I stand on the simple wooden arch bridge, watching the shallow water, how it weaves between the stones gurgle bubbling and I try to let go my thoughts and emontions, at least here. A place for my soul, for so many years
My father told me, this place is very beautiful.
Here I do not want to meet people or do small talk. Here I am seeking solitude.
I am standing under mighty trees, which standing calm and uneffected since decades, proving shade. The sun rarely finds a way through the leaves and needles, but this is okay.
My father said, this place is exactly right.
I am getting goose pimples, feeling the cool wind touching my skin, as though he wants to comfort me.
I’m smelling a little of the typical smell of green wood and natural earth. Sometimes the (temperate?) reserve wind bears the faint scent of blossoms.
As ever it urges me to run my fingers over the cold, plain stone that stands here. A shiver runs through me. As ever there comes the moment, where I cannot withhold my tears. It has to be and it is good that it happens…
My father said, she would have been pleased with this place.
Much too early, also his name was written under the name of my mother – on this stone.
Yes, my father loved this place too, may his soul rest in peace.

| I really liked the slightly awkward English as if I could hear a most endearing sincerity and accent through all of this and yet a poignancy that is quite touching. thank you for sharing... |
