A Dozen Democrat Senators Now Demand Delay of ObamaCare RTX14D07
By Jordan Sekulow Filed in: ObamaCare 11:01 AM Oct. 25, 2013

One by one key Senate Democrats are joining Senator Ted Cruz and others on the right in calling for a delay of the ObamaCare individual mandate.
Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) is drafting a bill to delay the mandate by at least a year.
Ten other Democrat Senators have signed a letter to Secretary Sebelius – the top Obama Administration official in charge of implementing ObmaCare – demanding a delay in ObamaCare deadlines.
The letter, lead by Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-HN), calls for “extending the period” of time Americans have to purchase health insurance before being faced with steep penalties.  The letter states, “Individuals should not be penalized for lack of coverage if they are unable to purchase health insurance due to technical problems.”
In signing on to the letter, Sen. Mark Pryor (D-AR) called it a “common sense idea,” as Democrats for the first time acknowledge the utter disaster that the ObamaCare rollout has become.
Democrat Sens. Shaheen and Pryor were joined by Sens. Mark Begich (D-AK), Mary Landrieu (D-LA), Kay Hagan (D-NC), Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), Mark Udall (D-CO), Michael Bennet (D-CO), Tom Udall (D-NM), and Martin Heinrich (D-NM) in demanding a delay.
Sen. Begich (D-AK) is now demanding that the Administration “state clearly” what will happen to those who cannot sign up before the deadline and “ensure that individuals are not unfairly penalized.”
Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) too is calling for a delay of the mandate, publicly stating, "We have to consider delaying the mandate."
Now, at least 12 Democrat Senators are calling for some form of delay in ObamaCare.  What this means is that overwhelming majorities in both the House and Senate are calling for some type of delay in ObamaCare and it’s outrageous penalties.
In the House Democrats are for the first time demanding accountability from the Obama Administration.  The House Democratic Caucus Chairman Xavier Becerra (D-CA) says the Administration should “absolutely” be held accountable.  Rep. David Scott (D-GA) demanded, “The President’s got to be out there taking change and firing people.”
Unfortunately, the only person fired so far is as an ObamaCare exchange hotline operator who honestly and directly answered questions when talk show host Sean Hannity called to see what people calling the hotline were being told.  For reading the script she had been given to read to callers on air and honestly providing feedback on what she had been hearing from people who are upset about the website issues and outrageous premiums, she was fired.
It is time for true accountability of those in charge of ObamaCare.  The American people should not be penalized for the incompetence of the Obama Administration.
Frustration over ObamaCare and demands for delay has been pouring in by the tens of thousands on our new website, ICantEnroll.com.
