This is My Prayer

Asking God to bless our country
Bless it from shore to shore
To fill our heart with praise for Him
And cause us to love Him even more.
Asking God to bless our families
To touch relationships and make them whole
Cause those who love each other
Seek to work together-not seek control.
Asking God to bless the children
Be they babes in arms or teens
Youngsters, toddlers or those in between.
Touch their hearts and fill their spirits
With love of God and of His Word
A desire to share the truth with others
Until the whole world has heard.
Asking God to guide our leaders
And cause them in repentance to turn
Away from those things that are evil
And our countries trust seek to earn.
Asking God to use each of us
Who seek to do His will each day
In every capacity of which we are able
And to show us daily how to pray.
This is my prayer for my country
I lift it up now to God above
Asking Him to bless and protect us
And fill our hearts with His peace and love.

Asking God to bless us all today,
to keep our country safe and free,
to expose each external and internal enemy
so that all the world can see
just what is going on around us,
and let His peace and love
surround us.
There are enemies without and within
For no one country has the claim on sin.
Asking Him to help us deal
With the facts and what is real
And to realize the truth when we hear it
To deal with it and not just fear it.
Asking Him to bless each one who fights the good fight
Those who in the Lord takes their delight
And to bring in those who seek Him still
That they may come to Him and do His will.
All this is His Precious Name I pray
As I come to His Throne today.

There are those who are crying out today
For God to send someone their way
With a message of love, of hope or cheer
For it is what they need to hear.
Look up dear ones and seek God's hand
For He is the One who can lift you up
And help you once again to stand
Do not feel that no one cares
Just because you don't hear their prayers
For there are saints who pray each day
For those souls whose names they cannot say
Be comforted by the fact that God loves you
More than you can ever understand
For His love is a greater love
Than can be known by mortal man.
He gave His Son to die on that tree
To redeem the lost, to set us free
So that one day His Heaven we might see
Find comfort in this Word today
And know that for you I pray.
