Wings of an Angel
The difference between a fairy and an Angel is in our eyes
The pixie dust we need to fly is the tale that makes it unbelievable
The wings are hidden of the Angel in our doubt of old self in the past
How can anybody call us Angels when we’re still feeling shame of sin
Even though Jesus Christ took it to the cross the weight of what we done
Just like wearing a hat for so long still feels like it’s still on when taken off
So we walk around carrying the cross that’s not ours to bare
Trying to walk our talk earning the way back to paradise forgetting
The debt was already paid only cross to carry is the one we give back
There’s no getting to never-never land flying with pixie dust on our head
But their is the wings God gave us through Jesus Christ the host of Angels
That has us fly like Eagles in the spirit that leads us to spread His love
How do we know when God gives us those wings? when we look in the eyes
Those that we touch through His love will reflect our wings though we don’t feel
The tears of joy, the smile that reaches heaven will be proof enough
God has chosen us even before we’re born just got to believe in Jesus Christ
The wings will come with the new birth from the Holy Spirit given to carry us
The truth will set us free and those around us will see us fly and want to fly too
The difference between a fairy and an Angel is in our eyes
The pixie dust we need to fly is the lie we held on to for so long
The wings given is no tale but Truth to touch a life that needs saving
