His Pain Travels

Why does God allow good men to get sick in a vegetable state?
Why did God allow Lazarus to die only to be raised four days later?
Because sometimes it takes being broken down to nothing

Sometimes Jesus hurts too His pain travels down through the body
Yet we don’t always feel His pain because sin still runs underneath
Leaving us paralyzed to feel His tears running down our face

We’re the body Jesus uses to reach out, helping those that need hope
But sometimes His body doesn’t respond so must break us down to see
That someone needs Him and it’s now they need to see He cares

Why does God allow little children to be born only to die young?
Why did God allow a sick girl to die in her sleep only to be waken
Because we’re all miracles waiting to be awakened from our slumber

Sometimes Jesus hurts too His pain travels through our body
Yet we don’t realize it’s His pain we’re feeling in our anger state
The tears running aren’t ours but His as we forget He weeps too

We’re the body Jesus uses to reach out wanting to perform miracles
But sometimes His body falls asleep needing awakened by any means
So that His healing hands will be seen being placed in the people that hurt

Why does God allow evil to run wild in the hearts that were good?
Well why did we choose to bite into that forbidden fruit having it all?
Because satan planted the seed of Jealousy wanting more

Jesus hurts too His pain travels through His Children
Through His stripes we’re healed but leaves us scars
So that His broken body will be seen being restored
