His Gospel

Sometimes He rides in on a harley dressed in leather
With a few tattoos that tells a story of the past he lived
Now rides on High living proof, He lives through our mistakes

People judged by the shirts on their backs, not seen for the Truth
The self-righteous often miss by proclaiming one gospel, one way
Not realizing they preach to Jesus Himself

Sometimes He’s in a dress walking in high heels hoping to be loved
With a few broken hearts HIV running in the veins tells her storied past
Now she sings on High of His living grace, proof He lives in mistakes

People judged without a second thought by the life they lived
The self-righteous don’t see the changes with their one gospel
Not realizing its Jesus Himself walking

There may be one gospel but it’s expressed in many different ways
By the many different people through ways only Jesus can explain
But expressed through His love, proof that He lives through our mistakes

Sometimes He’s in a wrap holding a spear in the jungles of Africa
With a bone through His nose that tells a story of how his people lived
Now He preaches on high how Jesus through a missionary saved him

Jesus hears His people cry out that their ready to be saved by anybody
So He moves with His body in anybody that’s willing to serve Him now
Doesn’t care how there dressed as His love works in mysterious ways

People will be saved by the little bit of heaven shown inside the shirts
The hands of Jesus will soften the hardest heart, heal the brokenness
Jesus died so that we can live through our mistakes in His gospel
