Forgive

Forgive me Lord
When I complain and whine
Over every little pain of mine
For Lord I know nothing can compare
With the pain Jesus had to bear
To save my soul
And make me free-
The pain He suffered on Calvary...
Help me to lift my cares up to You
And then wait for that
Which Only You can do
The comforting, the healing touch
The peace that means so very much.
Help me to live from day to day
In a non self- serving way
And remember for those in need to pray
Let no distress I might encounter
In my life each day
Distract me from Your plan for me
Or from my purpose cause me to stray.

I enjoyed your poem.  It felt like a wave from the ocean gently washing ashore.  :)  I like the way your last 3 or 4 lines were written.  It made me stop and reread it to catch the complete thought.  God bless!!!
