Eden’s Strangled Hold

Peace we must wrest from the blood soaked hand, Eden’s
Strangled hold.  She does dance we all to the rim of our self; Do we see?  Hope
flees our dance, strung aloft in winged flight. 
Lunge toward her with loss deep; we plunge, exhale
To know rest peace affords.  
 
The stench of this stain must affront, embody sensual hope.
We invoke Beyond self he who fires heart’s soft ache, aflame for more.
We invoke!
 
Beleaguered years worn red aggression’s pose, awe struck. 
Saddened heart’s eye fails to spy skylight, dim is justhope.
 
One must disrupt
                Blood soaked
                                  fear
                Grip-clinched
One must aright
 
Half sighted sight one must release, Control.
Opened heart one must hold tight, Surrender.
 
Spring washes death’s decay; womb-aroused Life, yields!
We invoke Beyond self he who fires heart’s soft ache, aflame for more.
We invoke!
 
Loose! the stoned, wall-chained chest
Life aloft in winged flight breathes relief, saved 
is the soul starved.  Peace we
must wrest from the blood soaked hand, Eden’s
strangled hold.  She does dance we all to the rim of our self.  

Do we see? Hope.
