God's song is a resounding piece
But it recalls not a relationship broke.
His love bringing Him to tears;
As ancient a love as when Light spoke.
He sings of no wrongs, for they are not written;
His lyrics are an anthem of grace.
Thund'rous, gentle; a sound like no other.
From the corridors of a heavenly place.
No time signature limits; no tempo is stable.
Each note a fermata at His own hand.
The conductor, the lead, the original composer -
He sings of a love too deep to understand.
Of a love that finds no obsolescence,
No end in any form of sin.
Here, a love: divine adoration,
God worships on grazed knees yet stands open armed.
Prepared, no matter, to take us in.
His song ringing to the rhythm of His heart;
Anchored by triumphant horns;
Filled with celestial scales,
A chorus of hosts from on high, adorned.
