| There was a lady whose name I won’t disclose
Who tried to round up cows in her night clothes
They happened to be red
Somebody said
And that’s how the story goes.
The round up crew was working hard
Trying to get the cows out of her backyard
She was trying to help or so she said
But the round up crew thought she had lost her head
All they could see was a woman in red
They laughed so hard the cows were forgotten
Good thing the gown was made out of cotton
They sent her back inside
Then stood there and laughed til they cried
The lady in the red night gown
Is still somewhere around
But who knows what happened to the red nightgown? |
