You stand majestic in the sunlight.
You are beautiful in the moon light.
Earth tones best you seem to wear.
Your shapes are beyond compare!
For many you are objects of beauty.
You are witnesses of history.
Your life spans the age of the land
It is you that man tries to understand.
Exploration of space is not gone.
Pictures have been taken by man.
Is this another planet I am on?
Am I among aliens in a foreign land?
By some you are treated as almost divine.
You have withstood the test of time.
You have given interest to this life of mine,
Persuading me to with you spend more time!
You are revered as almost perfection.
You have helped man in his day.
As lasting landmarks of direction,
You have so faithfully shown the way!
Seeing the passing of countless days
Before you I stand amazed.
You are not some man made antiquity.
You are formed by a Hand we can not see!
