Ever the Student

No it’s not over
The story and deeds
The preaching and mercy
For all people’s needs.
We have the Four Gospels
And Acts of the “sent”
And Paul’s exposition
On what it all meant.
But please, Jesus teach me
I long to hear more
And so there are stories
Of missions galore.
In lands full of darkness
Or just down the street
With Love’s transformation
For each hurt we meet.
And then John’s rich promise
His last Gospel phrase
That Heaven holds volumes
For unending days!
And we the glad students
Of more of Christ’s walk
And Zion the classroom
To gather and talk.



John 21: 25
And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
