Apology from the Churches

We've tried so hard to teach you
The fine precepts and such
But teaching is a head thing
We've used a way too much
And if you wrap 'round verbiage
You think you're in the know
When all the while this roadblock
Has stunted how you grow
You should have taken Gospel
To simply love the poor
And broken 'long your pathway
Displaying mercy's door
It's really an invasion
As Jesus comes within
And life is not a lesson
Of classifying sin.
It takes some time this journey
Please don't be in a race
A patient Spirit pleads the chance
To show you Jesus' face.
