The world's been trying to kill me since the day I was born

My silhouette shows half a halo and a single, evil horn

I grow inside the Light, while in the darkness I am torn

A mile high and falling, calling as my children mourn...

A tisket, a tasket...bouquets of tears inside a basket

If you have a question, ask it...for there lies answers in a casket

I couldn't be there all the time, and I wish I could've, kid

but don't remember what I didn't do, remember what I did

I love you all...I love you more than breath

and nothing can ever change that...not even death

I messed my life up and I've never tried to hide it

but a heart is only as strong as the love that lives inside it

So I write from my heart for the ones I love the most

My children, The Father...The Son, The Holy Ghost

My body may lay in rot...decay...

but lessons still I can convey

Poems written throughout the years

Tribulations inked in tears

Rhymes of times both good and bad

Letters from the dead of the moments that I've had

Sadly...madly...I wrote them all

that on the day that I should fall

you can conquer the pain that the world displays

by reading through my yesterdays...

I write my life for you to read

until the day my soul is freed

and on the day I'm buried...when I no longer bleed...

tell the world it didn't kill me...it only planted a seed...
