Free to be Me!
Tall sunflowers lined the pathway I strolled upon that day.
Brightly colored yellow faces
seemed to encourage my spirit, prod me forward.
As I faltered, wavering between trust , and fear in The One who led my way,
these tall newly found companions would brook no argument I attempted
to present to them, justifying my hesitation.
For they remember the day I danced among them, basking in the freedom to
run with abandon through fields of laughter.
I squealed with delight, expressing for the first time in my life what most
children enjoy everyday, that of being allowed to be a child.
As the wind blew, petals framing flowering faces waved praise to The One
who created them, created me, rejoicing.
For I now felt the freedom others so often take for granted,
Being Me!
