A Great Old Oak
I no longer stumble around in the darkness
For the Light of Truth shines forever in my soul
Darkness paralyzes as Death dominates
Bondage, Slavery
Truth is freedom as Light envelopes
Liberation, Sanctification
A whispers gentle breeze seems to caress my mind
as I sit beneath a great old oak tree preserved in the memories of years gone by.
Digging earthworms, the smell of the dark, rich soil full of nutrients,
excellent for producing bounty from the seeds planted in its' care.
The feel of safety as the warm earth soil
drinks in the falling rain, creating mud pies
for those who hunger, and thirst for acceptance, and love.
Tickling the roots, leaves rustle
acknowledging its' pleasure, laughing with glee
inviting, and welcoming, peaceful, and still
to rest in His shade, and bask in His Love.
