The birds have become accustomed to being fed here
Not that they need me too
For the same Giver of all good things is the provider
But I enjoy their company
Their song upon arrival is a pleading one
Squawks and squeals…urgent
Afterwards soothing melodies of contentment
that belie gratitude and thankfulness
Never thought to do this before the change
Now it seems so right
So rewarding…
“the least of these” are hungry and thirsty
Should we turn a blind eye?
What has happened to me,
I often ask myself,
And the answer always brings
The hot wet salty stings
And I find,
It only hurts to ask anymore
And these small lessons learned
are the main substance of
the subtle inkling "given"
towards much broader necessary applications.

Let Tears Begin
We weep at our incarnate frailty. We weep at confusion and sin. We weep at the selfish agenda. We weep at the tiger within.
We weep at the child-life departing. We weep at the blush off the bloom. We weep for the ones we offended. We weep at the guile and the gloom.
We weep knowing Holiness watches. We weep knowing better was planned. We wonder if Holiness offers The curative touch of His hand.
We weep lately sensing His presence. We weep so unworthy of Grace. We weep at the startling discovery That Holiness died in our place!
