MANY MANSIONS

I know God has many mansions

I asked Jesus to save one for me

I don’t care if it’s a little shack

If it has a window from which I can see.

 

It could even be a tent

I really don’t care you see

As long as I see a reserved sign

Reserved just for me.

 

It doesn’t have to be fully furnished

Just a place to lay my head

Maybe a table where I can eat

And a blanket as a spread.

 

A place where I can meet with Jesus

And tell him about my love for him

How some things on earth don’t matter

But in my mansion I want to sing His hymns.

 

I look forward to the time

When I can see His beautiful face

How when I was here on earth

I could feel his wonderful grace.

 

If my time is short or long

I know my mansion waits for me

Because time will pass

And it will no longer be.

 

I hope my mansion has a door

Over which I can hang a sign

One that will be printed in bold letters

Yep happens sometimes. Do you find that writing in our way is as much a worship experience as it is a communication to others? And there is something that the writer learns each time. Back and forth discussion like this can be great.

I always learn something from each piece I write.  It is a form of worship on my part at least.  I have tried to write in prose, but I just can't.  Lots of people say it is easier, but I find it to be harder
some how.  I liked the link you sent.  Thanks. I do find that discussions can be very beneficial.
