Yes, for my past life I have bewept
Night dreams have often disturbed my sleep
Often times my mind recalls regret
Into my heart these torments have crept
Of some days, I’m not able to speak
My days of youth, squandered in lost years
Oh ones of tender age, hear my voice
Come listen and save your heart these tears
Yes in Christ Jesus all truth appears
Chose this day the Lord, it is your choice
And to those like me, far down the road
He doesn’t just forgive He forgets
At His throne, lay down your heavy load
Come to the fountain where His blood flows
For you He has paid all of your debts
Then when it is time to say good-bye
They lay you beneath that grassy mound
Friends gathered around can smile and sigh
Knowing in arms of angels you fly
They’ll see you again when trumpet sounds |
