Don't bother writing back

Hello old friend,

How have you been? I haven't talked to you since I don't know when. Probably since

the day your mama passed away, but I got a few things that I'd like to say.

I'm sorry, man, for the things I put you through. The things I made you see, the things

I made you do. The people that you hurt, all the dirt that you did. I know it wasn't you, it

was all me, kid.

Every crime you committed, all the thefts, every assault. Every time you did it, it was

always my fault. All the times you ran, and all the times you got caught. Every guilty

verdict and all the time that you got. For all those wasted days turned into months,

turned into years. I know I was the cause of all those tears.

I seen a couple people around the neighborhood and they say you're hanging in there,

that you're doing really good, and I know it's kinda lame I'm putting all this in a letter

but I doubt I'll see you again so this way is probably better.

I just want to tell you stay strong and stay free. Don't bother writing back.

That's such a strong message in this latter, I'm so many could relate to it strongly.
How we can easily shape someone else's actions by what what say or do, or what we dare others to do, it gets them in trouble but we remain free. It's sad how often that happens.

Right on! God is always reminding me to remind myself how easy it is to fall down when I let go of his hand. Word. I'm glad you guys like it. And when I say "you guys", Miss christianonfire 7, I don't mean you "guys", I just mean you guys. You know what I mean :-)

Dusted this off and Pulled this out straight from page 38 on this site all the way in the back!

But I just can't help to wonder...
This was written five years ago, what would the "you" of "now" have to say to the "you" of then if anything...interesting hmmm?

What advice might "you" have given "you"?
