Thank you God in Heaven above

For showering upon us

Your wonderful love

And giving each morning a gift to me

Of a wonderful new opportunity.

We should all wake in the morning with that on our lips.

You are a blessing. Yer words always stir inside me.

Lots to be thankful for, my cup was half full.
So I went out and bought a smaller more humble cup,
when I poured the contents in from the old cup,
it overflowed.

I think you are right about there being a poem in it. :-)

I found the biggest cup that could be found
So heavy I had to set it on the ground
And asked the Lord to bless my cup
" Lord," I prayed" Please fill it up."
And I waited to see what He would do
Although it wasn't the right cup for me, I knew.
I soon found before my eyes
A cup that was much more my size
And approached the Lord on bended knee
Humbly asking that He fill it for me.
I felt His joy, His peace and love
As He filled my cup to overflowing
And my spirit with His Love.
God wants us to desire a big cup
For His spiritual blessings, that's true
But sometimes we lust for more material things
Than we need for the tasks we must do.
If we seek first for those spiritual blessings
That which we need will be provided for us too.

I think this one falls somewhere in your top ten. I love it. I know I keep saying this, but it is a beautiful piece.
