Quest for Intimacy

You urge to seek
But Lord how high
For even height defies the way
You want my time
A tryst sublime
But I know scarcely what to say.
A just One You
And knowing all
A will that bows to no command
A strength that bears
The weight of worlds
With just the stroking of a hand.
Still come I do
And bowing low
You said that you might still be found
By one who fears
Your greatness so
And loves your scent on Holy Ground.

I like this line, I think we all want that visceral experience of God, but for many of us seems it just out of reach, but we keep reaching for that connection.
