The Fir Tree Empty
PostSubject: The Fir Tree   The Fir Tree EmptyMon Dec 18, 2017 1:27 pm

The Fir Tree

Many years ago from a tree dropped a seed
The seedling turned into a strong young tree
It asked GOD,"What is going to happen to me?"
"Will I be a table and chairs where my owners eat?"
"Will I be a bed that gives them a restful sleep?"
Maybe a place for donkeys, cows goats and sheep

GOD answered, "Wait and see I have a plan for thee"
The sapling grew into a beautiful fir tree
But the tree felt anxious, down and blue
It didn't know what else it could do
Still it wondered is this all I'll ever be?
Is this all that GOD has planned for me?

An owner of a travelers inn cut the fir tree down
He built a place unaware it would be hallowed ground
Disappointed the tree asked GOD," Why did this happen to me?"
GOD answered "Wait and see what I have planned for thee"
So the tree waited to see GOD'S plan unfold
Now here is the rest of the story to be told

A man walked, his pregnant wife upon a donkey rode
They searched for a comfortable abode
But alas there was no place for the to rest
It didn't matter their faith would pass the test
No inn would take them as their guests

GOD chose the tree's manager for them to stay in
Where HIS son was born a Savior for all men
A bright star shone above where their babe laid HIS head
The animals were blessed to share their place for HIS bed
They knelt and bowed their heads to pay tribute in their way
JESUS, KING of KINGS, LORD of LORDS, born this first Christmas Day

The tree had patiently waited to see
How GOD'S perfect plan would come to be
GOD has a plan if we obey what we're told
We must wait to see GOD'S story unfold
HE will reveal who we are designed to be
Like the fir tree, we must wait to attain our destiny
