| Wouldn't it be wonderful to be the o'-pity-me of someone worth being?
A welcome sight to soothe the hearts of the lost and weary what fearsome wisdom to know the answer to every query
Deep in the pit-o-me something unsettling shaking my tree don't care for what it tempts to bring out-o-me
So tired... but can't ignore what is sent to me
Chipping away at a monolithic granite slab towering over me the inscription just on the tip-o-mind now eludes me teetering, threatens to fall and crush many
Time to put down the sledge reach for a 'tact' hammer "hear lies..." was as far as i'd gotten (chisel away softly)
When fruit fell from out of the tree and splattered on many heads clear evidence... religion is dead the final inscription read: "here lies... something rotten"
Luke 9:60 "but He said to him, "Allow the dead to bury their own dead; but as for you, go and proclaim everywhere the kingdom of God."

| Wow what an image! Formal religion, unfeeling, cold and hard as stone, threatens to topple and crush many. Sort of reminds me of the big stone pillars in the story of Samson. He pushed them over and destroyed 3000 of his enemies. But then go to the speech of Pentecost from Peter. He preached Christ resurrected and 3000 listeners died to self and rose in newness of life...Good use of the printed page, Friend...Doug |

| Lobbed that right over the plate for you Doug and you knocked it out of the park with bases loaded! Excellent spin on this and teaching! After all, when Jesus is the "catalyst" even something seemingly negative can be utilized to enlighten.
Genesis 50:20 "As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today"
Romans 8:28 "And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose"
At stake are millions.

| I love the story of Joseph. As a kid I had a record album. Joseph on one side. David and Goliath on the other. Narrated by the actor Claude Rains. On a Saturday morning I would play it again and again, not realizing at the time how it typified Jesus, having the Father's special favour, suffering the jealousy of His brethren, going to the depths of wrongful accusation and imprisonment in the place of the dead, that others might step into the abundance of real living, seeing that even there He was in the hand and Plan of the Father.

| There are two sides to every coin, one side worthless without the other but in it's entirety submitted(dropped)...then the desired selection is achieved(dropped).
And sometimes...just sometimes, it proceeds forward as we observe with eager anticipation to the very forefront, as we hold our breaths...alas it does not drop! Though we pound away in vain, frustrated that it will not budge?
Feeling...cheated, walk away and later hear a shriek of delight praise and gratitude from someone who has received it freely. |

| I knew a man when I lived in Chatham, a town of 42,000 not far from the Windsor-Detroit border. This man had been ordained in the Pentecostal church, but got the boot from the organization when his wife left him. That's how the church often treats its wounded.
In many conversations he would say things about faith and God's sovereign will that almost baffled me. But he would not retrace his steps and "dumb down" what he had said; rather he left it, and went away praying.
Time and again the revelation would come to me much after the exchange and after some signal experience. "So that's what Leon meant" I would exclaim, in my heart thanking him that he had not been tempted to cheapen God's diamonds for the sake of quicker gratification.
Jesus did the same with the rich young ruler. So do you A.G.
