PostThe Lord is Strong

The Lord is strong. He who was, is, and will forever be, has great strength. We think of the Lord's strength in physical terms, though He is stronger even than we can imagine. He is strong not simply in the physical sense, but He is also strong of character and strong in mind. Where we are weak and sinful creatures, He is perfect and extends His strength to His followers. When we rely on the strength of God, we are on a firm foundation and cannot be shaken. When we pray to God for strength, He answers us and will not allow us to be overtaken by the darkness. Though the powers of Satan and of sin are alluring, our God is far more powerful than they are. Our God can wipe away sin with but a word. Our Lord can banish Satan with merely a thought. How fortunate are we that our Lord does not hoard His strength but gives it freely to those who seek Him. Where mankind hoards strength for his own greedy purposes, our Lord gives strength to those who need it because our Lord exists without greed. Our Lord is perfect, powerful, and immeasurably strong. All of His followers believe in His strength and will not fail to proclaim the might of our God.
