Hi There!

Hi, everyone! Newbie here! I love to write, and am so glad to have found a community of creative Christians!

A little about me: My name is Taylor. I'm 20 years old, female, and a Christian. I've been writing since the age of 5 or 6. Fortunately, my writing has improved considerably since then. ;)

I was born 4 months premature, weighing 1 pound 12 ounces at birth, and have had 19 operations and too many hospital stays to count in my 20 years of life. Outside of the hospital, I live a normal life for the most part. I enjoy reading, creative writing, spending time with friends, camping, hiking, and travel. I'm majoring in International Studies in college, with a focus on Middle Eastern studies.

Thanks to those two things (hospital life and cultural knowledge), my writing is mainly political thrillers and medical drama. I've written dozens of short stories and a few novel-length projects. Haven't had anything officially published, but I will be looking into some self-publishing options.

Here are some things I can offer advice on, if you need to know something for your writing:

• Spanish and Arabic phrases. My standard conversational Spanish is passable (took three years in high school), and I speak some Arabic as well. I know quite a few police, military, and medical terms in both languages.
  
  
• Police procedures, tactics, and weapons. My dad is a former police officer, and I've volunteered with my local police department as a civilian role player for their training exercises since June 2007.
  
  
• Medical procedures, conditions, and terms. Thanks to my hospital "adventures" and the first-aid training that I've had, I'm somewhat of a walking medical dictionary.

Well, that's enough of an intro from me! I'm looking forward to checking out this site and the things that have been posted here, and getting to know some of my fellow creative Christians!
