“Salvation” By Someone You Hate or Despise? Empty
PostSubject: “Salvation” By Someone You Hate or Despise?    “Salvation” By Someone You Hate or Despise? EmptyMon Aug 06, 2018 1:02 pm

Mat 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate (Hate = detest) the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise (Detest = to think against) the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon (This is an example).

NOTE: Salvation comes from the shed blood of Jesus, but IF you love Him you WILL “KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS” (1st Commandment)! So do you believe you’ll receive salvation by just believing and not loving God by being obedient? Which commandments will you choose? Will it be just the 10 commandments? Let me ask you a question. Is it wrong to murder, and wrong to commit adultery, as stated in the 10 commandments, but since homosexuality isn’t listed is that sin alright? Do you really believe you can decide what sin is and what sin is not? The Word of God says, “Sin is the transgression of the Law (Torah)”.

1Jn 3:3 And every man that hath this hope in Him purifies himself, even as He is pure.
1Jn 3:4 Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the law (Torah): for sin is the transgression of the law(Torah).

Joh 14:15 If ye love me (1st Commandment), keep my commandments (Plural).
1) IF you love God you will keep His commandments.

1Jn 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God (2nd part of what Jesus said was the greatest commandment, Matt. 22:36-39), when we love God and obey his commandments.
1Jn 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome.
1Jn 5:4 For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world--our faith.

1) What is it to love God? “…obey His commandments”.
2) Love of God = “…keep His commandments”.
3) Our faith “overcomes the world”. Faith = Moral Conviction (Obeying God’s laws)

Joh 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our
abode with him.
Joh 14:24 He that loves me not keeps not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

1) If a man loves Me, he will keep my words…

2) He that (Hates God) loves me not keeps not my sayings…

A) Jesus is the “WORD” made flesh (Jn 1:14)

B) Jesus, the “Word” is the Law (Matt. 5:17-19, didn’t abolish/destroy the law, but was the “Fulfillment”) Jesus, the perfect Law. We can't fully keep the Law and that's why we needed a Savior. Not that we shouldn't do all we can to keep as much of the Law as possible (Sin Not).

The Law exposes sin. Sin is the transgression of the Law. Transgressing the Law puts you under the Law (Conviction, needing/leading to REPENT).

Rom 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
Rom 3:29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:
Rom 3:30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
Rom 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

Justified By Faith, Loving God Through Obedience To The Law (Not Sinning)!

Perfect Faith = Faith Plus Works (Jas 2:22)

If You Believe Than You Will Obey

Which Laws will you choose to obey? What you deem to be moral, or what God says is moral?

If you think that there are only 10 Commandments than this leads to a multitude of sins against God!

God's Law is eternal, because God's Law is His Word, His Word shows us the Way! His Law, Jesus, was the perfect Law and the fulfillment of the Word!

Do you still think you can just believe? Then you would be in violation of the 1st Commandment!

We love God by "Keeping His Commandments", and the 1st Commandment is to love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength.
