getting to know me

I am a Christian writer of poetry. 
I wrote poetry some number of years ago and had a number published in anthologies but then stopped because of barriers in my church.  I lost the gift for quite awhile.
Now almost thirty years later I find myself writing again. The poems are coming back. I am not sure how long the words will stay but I am happy to write again.

I'm so glad you're writing again! There are lots of poets on this site. Feel free to post some of your work in the poetry section and comment on a few of the others work too. It's a great way to break the ice and find encouragement.

Glad to have you aboard.  Almost the same thing happened to me.  So glad you are writing again.  I know I have gained so much from this site.  I am sure you will enjoy it as well.  Good Luck.

I've done a lot of poetry, but I know what you mean...
I seem to have run out.
However, I am doing short stories, and I've got one very ambitious novel and I am currently working on another one.  
Don't limit yourself to poetry...there is so much more that we can do!

I should probably have mentioned...I'm brand new, too!

I am actually working on a short novel now.  I am trying to decide about what to do with it. I have also written two children's stories for my classroom.
