| Remembering a Hero
Dad, even though you are gone from this earthly plane My hero you are and will forever remain. You taught me so many things that forever will serve me And help mold me into the person I long to be. You were such a great member of our family In every position from son to grandfather and friend And the love that your family holds for you Will never ever come to an end. Your attributes were unlimited and your contribution to us all Was constant and unwavering As our successes you were savoring And you seemed to have the gift of knowing without us telling you Just what we needed and that's what you would do. Your love for family was breathtaking- The icing on our cake And you never held a grudge or gloated over another person's mistake. At every opportunity I thank God for sending you to me And thank Him for your heart of love A gift so pure that only He could give As you looked to him to guide you In the way that you should live. This year I know that you are home with Him To live with Him for eternity And if I could give you one request My request of you would be- Tell the Father "thank you" for me! |

| A Special Memory
Daddy, our time together was far too short But I hold each memory tight To cheer me when my heart aches And get me through the night. In our brief years together, It's as if somehow I knew To store inside my heart Each special moment with you. These are sweet moments That I relive in my mind Filled with such love and emotion That it's hard to define. Dad, I have so many things That I would still like to say Things I hope you knew Before God called you away. But I trust that He knew Just where you should be And though time here was short, We shall have eternity.

| Daddies are so important to their children, boys and girls alike. Too bad this world dismisses them as unimportant. |
