But I got the word and the spirit so I face my fear

He takes every opportunity so I stay vigilant
The devil uses yer struggles, revels in yer pain
He tries to get the fires burnin’ so I pray for the rain
And Jesus’ blood shower me clean
Steadily breathin’ the gospel tryin’ to glean
A glimpse of the truth, tryin’ to avoid the fire
‘Cause eternity with God is my hearts desire
The enemy hates this wants to keep you out
And he’s tricksy and deceptive wants to fill you with doubt
So shout to the Lord, humble on your knees
If you give your life over, HE’ll meet all your needs

There’s only two choices, the dark or the Light
The left or the Right, what side of the cross you on
Me and mine ride for Jesus, so devil it’s on
So we study the word, breath out the gospel
‘Bout a Lord so great HE makes all things possible
We want to get the good news out to everyone
Snatch’em out the devil’s hand, delivered to the Son

Not my style of writing, yet the passion of the lyrics, the intensity of the way they are presented, spoke volumes to my spirit. We as Christ's ambassadors, warriors, need to keep the fire HOT!!! This work inspires me to write more in this direction.
