Letter from America

The sun rises over the water it warms my soul,
I reflect on my past of great struggle, yet great success,
with a history rich as the diversity in my house.
I haven’t moved since my birthday so many years ago,
I stand with pride that I might be a glimmer of hope for those that struggle the most.
i cant take credit for all this majesty, this glory is not only mine.
All my sons and daughters that have given their time.
To those that have paid the ultimate price, to protect my life.
I AM AMERICA AND TODAY I STAND PROUD
covered in my stripes laden with the 50 stars that descended from heaven it self.
Let me personal thank you, my sons and daughters alike,
thank you for every thing.
So today as your freedom rings free thank my children for protecting me!

Great piece for this time of year and 9/11 right around the corner. Thank you for reminding me to be so very grateful for our soldiers out there. God Bless America!
