Wrinkled Was Not One of the Things
I Wanted to Be...
When I Grew Up!
When I was just a baby
So tiny, new and neat
I had the cutest ankles
And cute toes upon my feet!
My face had only one tiny chin
And my dimples were so cute
That folks thought I was adorable
Even in my birthday suit!
The years passed so quickly by-
Who knew how those years would fly!
And it never really occurred to me
That someday wrinkled I would be!
But suddenly I realized that on my face
For all the world to see
Were scads and scads of wrinkles
Where my firm face used to be!
One day, in the mirror,
When I saw my face reflected,
It looked a lot like my mother’s face-
Just as I had suspected!
