So comfortably they sleep-
And follow as do sheep
Those who lie and say,
That they know the way.
Wake us Lord and show us all
The danger we are in
Before it is too late
Before we see the man of sin.
Help us not to give up
Saying what will be will be
But help us to fight the good fight
And bring souls to You for all eternity.
Help us to wake those who sleep
And those who seem not to care
That our country is in danger
From enemies who don't fight fair.
The enemy comes in many forms
And need not come from across the sea
But is implanted in the hearts of people
That look just like you and me.
Greed, corruption, hate and distrust
A heart that is untrue and filled with lust
All come from an evil source
which some deny exists, of course.
In times such as these
We must be vigilant and on guard
Help us fight the battle for lost souls
And wake all your servants, Lord.
