Give Me the Pieces...

Here they are, Lord
All of the pieces of my heart.
I tried not to panic
When I felt it fall apart.
But I struggled for a moment
Then I heard you call my name
"Give me all the pieces
I will make it whole again."

There is a heavy burden on your heart
And such worries in your head
I see your heart is broken
Come to me, the Father said
Let me take the pieces
And forgive you of each sin
As I mend the brokeness
And make you whole again...

He sees you when your heart is broken
When it's difficult to carry on
He knows when you are tired and weary
And all energy is gone.
He is always ready to listen
When you come to Him in prayer
No matter where you stop to pray
He is already there.
In the busiest sidewalk on the street
Or a quiet time in your room,
In the loudness of an office,
Or in a garden where roses bloom,
In the gentleness of a nursery
Or the hospital waiting room...
He can always be reached
In the quietest whisper of a prayer
And wherever you seek to call out to Him,
He will meet you there.

Woke up this am
With something on my mind
Thinking about how beautiful
Is each friend of mine.
Some are young and blemish free
While laugh lines are obvious on others
Some have the perfect figures of the 20 somethings
While some have the figures of grandmothers...
But each one is so beautiful
That that is all I see
The beauty of each loving friend
That God has given me!

Soothing thoughts for a beautiful morning, over my left shoulder through the window, a bright red cardinal is singing on the deck railing in gratitude for a breakfast of birdseed.

I love Miss Thena. I do. I really, really do. Thank you for being you. Not that it matters, but over my left shoulder through the window is my neighbor mowing his backyard at ten o'clock at night. Not quite a cardinal, but kinda awesome, regardless. Peace
