Poem In The Song

Everyone’s trying to find the poem in the Song
And when they don’t find it frustration sets like
The cement covering our hearts giving up hope

Sometimes we write the poem in the Song
Other times we become the poem in the Song
That sings of His glory, bringing the sun up to rise

We’re trying so hard in the dead of night to write words
That will impact the world, win the Pulitzer prize to show
We worked enough to get the salvation Heaven gives

The Song has already written the poem made from His blood
There’s nothing left to write that will earn what’s already free
The impact will break away the cement covering our hearts

Sometimes we write the poem in the Song
Other times we become the poem in the Song
That sings of His love, that brings out the promise

Everyone's trying to find the poem in the Song
And when they look into the mirror of truth to find
They’ve been the poem this whole time
