Everyone has a glow (with audio)

There are two mourning doves on a wire
as we round a bend in the road
male and female
they seem to wait for us there
in the same place always

We are holding hands
neighbors smile and wave as we go by
all we left behind is as dust
all that lay ahead
beckons to us

Sing along to a Christian song on the radio
the windows are closed
we can see the world
but it can't get in

I reach to gently stroke her hair
she leans into my hand tenderly
i whisper:"i love you"
she whispers:"i love you more"
i say:"i know...(playfully)
i love you but i love Him more"
she says:"i know, before you knew yourself,
i've always known"

Who knows where such outings will end?
We are both "out to lunch" literally
according to the world
she and i are one of a kind
be back soon...
if it be God's Will
if the end of this road lay ahead today
well, that's fine too

By a pond we arrive
like exuberant children
i watch...
as geese take bread from her hand
"it tickles", she says
she is radiant, giddy, over-joyed, light as a feather
like a carefree ballerina

through her eyes

unlocked now and freed

though only momentarily
His Bliss...
is revealed
