father in zion

Our Father in Zion, we await for you in faithful praise   
For we know you’re one and only, saviour of the human race 
The One who lives and the One, who sits upon the throne 
And all the children of His righteous Son
Await and praise for his return

The voice of living God heard Moses from the burning tree 
And miracles that Jesus made, so that his power we may see 
From the times of creation through our history
Remember the one who came to set the people free 
So what has bond you in the snares again, is it not the sin that we suffer for 
Our Lord redeemed us from this wickedness, in the transgression of the law
 
Behold the stones come tumbling down, The Lord proclaimed to his people
Abide in me before I come, lest you be condemned with evil 
As a thief in the night, the day will come before you know 
But I will never let a righteous man, slip on the rocks and fall
 
Our Father in Zion, we await for you in faithful praise

The One who reigns and the One who soon will return
With a great shout, a trumpet sound , His mighty kingdom upon the earth

 
Night is so far spent, the day at hand so bright 
Cast away the works of the darkness, with your armor of the Light  
Let your faith lead the way, and if the truth make your heart burn 
Never doubt the words of Christ, await and praise for his return

By a pillar of a cloud in the day time , pillar of a fire in the night
Lord will guide us through the hardships
Our Lord will lead us though the darkest night 
 
Give no praise for an idol plated with silver and gold
For no other God of an image, nor chipped from the wood and the stone
Only the living God who knows the hearts of one and all 
The mighty king, the Holy one, the Son of God upon the throne

Let the Lord possess your hearts, and share his love upon the earth 
So that even through the darkest night, we let our Light come shining forth 
Follow his steps to the place where man shall live together 
Cause the grass it witters, the flowers fade, but word of God shall stand forever
