| The moon will glow, just as the sun will burn
and as for your child, he will return...
I'm crying as I'm trying to get away from yesterday
I'm reaching for your hand so you can show me the way
Pull me up, Lord, far ahead of my past
Hear the agonizing cries of a lonely outcast
Two sides of life, each one a lesson learned
and as for your child, I have returned...
I tried the dark side and didn't like what I found
360 degrees, you've turned me completely around
back to when I was young, before life turned so wild
Hear the ever-grateful praise of a long-lost child
Bones in a coffin, empty ashes in an urn
As my final breath is death, your child will truly return...
Up, up and away I say, never coming back
Rising to the light as my body fades to black
Wrap your arms around me, Lord, I'm coming home as designed
and the mercy you've shown to me please give to the one's I leave behind |

| A sobering reality. We have so short a time in this life to get it together and spread the Word. Thank God, He's in control. Great lines:
I'm crying as I'm trying to get away from yesterday
I'm reaching for your hand so you can show me the way
Pull me up, Lord, far ahead of my past
Hear the agonizing cries of a lonely outcast
Two sides of life, each one a lesson learned
and as for your child, I have returned... |
