| Although I was born and raised a Christian, it was not until my early twenties, after experiencing a major crisis, that I found a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. During this period I began a deeper study of the Word of God, the Bible, and learned how to be free from emotional burdens and bondages. I began to understand what it is to have “true peace in the midst of the storm.”
As I grew deeper and closer to the truth of God’s Word, I also came to understand the battle of spiritual warfare that exists in each of us as we strive to build our personal relationship with Christ. The devil, Satan, tries to pull us away from our relationship to Christ by introducing lies, fear and confusion into our way of thinking. His goal is to keep us away from knowing the truth, and will use any weapon in his war chest to keep us in the emotional chains that previously bound us.
While struggling through this battle, I came to understand the attributes of third person of the Godhead, the Holy Spirit, as a vital part of my life. I learned that the Holy Spirit speaks to us on a daily basis to confirm and reveal the Word of Truth. He continually provides direction and guidance to strengthen and encourage us as we live out our time in this life. The Holy Spirit has taught me that my real purpose in this life is to bear witness to God in all that I say and do, thereby giving glory to God, the Creator of everything. |

| Amen! I too was raised in a Christian home, however, it took me even longer to discover a personal relationship with the Lord. For me, Isaiah 48:10 is a testimony of my life too: See, I have refined you, though not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction.
You have a very strong message and are able to articulate it with understanding, clarity, and conviction. I can't wait to see more of your work. |
