I get up as is my habit
Sometimes cause I want to
The rest my body says I better
Or else i will suffer the consequenses of solthfullness

But this morning is a little different
Yes the pains are still there
Yet there is something else that I must be doing
Someone special to me will soon be taking a trip
And I will surely miss her

Strength when I am weak
Joy to be around, even when we have to discuss
Those topics that are less than desirable

Oh, Jesus is here and His presence is known
But her I can touch and hold, my completion
My main reason to continue this journey
As we have walked together many years
Soon to separate for a little while

I pray for her and yes shed a few tears
Where God has led us down through the years
Work, fun, bad food and lost sleep
Ministry and all that, in His hand He promiced to keep
Then why can't I go???

Says, "I'm gonna miss her when I get home"
But she will be having a grand time, herself
And I know the price paid for the ticket
will be worth every penny paid.
