| “Doctor, the patient is prepped and ready, heart rate is normal, blood pressure is 123 over 90, respiration normal.”
“Thank you nurse.” Preparing to make the first incision…
“Hmmm. It’s worse than I expected. Hand me a clamp. Suction… suction… He’s hemorrhaging.”
“Doctor…
heart rate erratic!
Blood pressure dropping!”
“Hand me those paddles quickly nurse!
Stand clear… Clear! Again… Clear!
Administering CPR. It’s no use. He’s in shock! I’m losing him!”
“C’mon… c’mon… breathe…”
“Doctor! Doctor… he’s gone. You’ve done all you can.”
“I let him down. Just look at him. Silly wide eyed grin… cute little freckles… shiny red nose…
It was the funny bone, gets me every time.”
“Doctor, the family is waiting in the next room.”
“Yes… I know what must be done.”
“If it’s any consolation doctor, the buzzer never sounded and the nose did light up but barely perceivably.”
"I just didn't have the heart to tell you."
“Thank you nurse. I’ll be in the next room with the family for a bit…
this part is never easy.”
“Mom? Pop?”
“Yes Hijo?”
“Do you think we can afford some new batteries for my operation game?” "Another near death experience Hijo?"
"only when his batteries run low ...Pop"
Tunnel...
light at the end?
No...
this time flying...
past rainbows...
through clouds...
the sun shone like a beacon...
and there were beautiful voices singing. thanks for reading:) GOD BLESS

| I think that's something we all struggle with. If we could only understand that he made us that way on purpose, we'd stop stressing out over it. |

| This was one of the toys rescued from the garbage pile after Christmas that we couldn't afford but I fixed a broken wire in it and it worked just fine till the batteries ran out!!
I did this often, find and fix, then have to hide it sometimes, it would bring shame to my Father that I would do this, whom was very proud.
But the truth is...I learned to fix things from watching my Father.
God Bless |

Just like our Father, God, fixes us...
I know your dad must have been proud of you, that you were so inventive and smart.

| My grandkids call me the fixit grandma cause I'm always fixing things when I can. I find they try to do it too now. Nothing wrong with that God does it all the time so I feel like I'm just following his example. I liked it a lot. |

| Spent a lot of my childhood in garbage dumps, junkyards, recyclers, pulled up in front of many a house and brought home furniture, etc. Took a lot of teasing from other kids but I learned to value whatever I was given, I wore my Dad's work clothes to school and had plastic sneakers that barely flexed and would cause to slide across the gym floor everytime I tried to stop while playing basketball. They were the much dreaded "skips" purchased at a supermarket tossed into the shopping cart with groceries and as the song goes literally cost "$1.99"...LOL!
God Bless. |

| I totally understand. That has helped to make you such a compassionate person.
I was a farm girl until age 12 and we recycled before it had a name. Shoes, meant having to go to town to shop or to order from Aldens or Sears catalog. Shoes were a big deal. Mom and Grandmom couldn't sew shoes. LOL
