Sword of great, from the lake,
The Spring and Water of Life.
Glinting in glory, glorious in motion,
As it divides the elect in a swipe.

Sword of the Rock, beyond human strength,
Eternally secured, once for all,
The very same sword used to pierce the Lord,
As He layed down His life to soften the fall.

This Sword of the Spirit, of God's Holy Word,
Protects us and aids us in the battles of life,
Drawing blood from God's veins, in power unchanged,
It is the Saviour. Our redemption. Sacrifice's knife.
